Short summary
Add Map and Timeline chart slides to a Presentation to show locations or time-based milestones in a more visual way.
When to use this feature
Use these chart types when you want to:
- Show a specific location with an interactive map.
- Present milestones, phases, dates, or ordered events.
- Make a Presentation easier to explore in the Client Portal.
Step-by-step instructions
- In the Business Portal, go to Workspaces, open the Document, then select "Presentation".
- Click "Add slide", then choose Chart.
- Select the slide and open "Chart type".
- To create a Map chart slide, choose "Map".
- Choose "Screen setup", then select "Full screen" or half screen.
- Enter the required "Address".

- Click "View slide" to preview the Map slide.
- To create a Timeline chart slide, choose "Timeline" from "Chart type".
- Enter the required "Title".
- Optionally enter a "Subtitle".
- For each Timeline Item, add:
- "Value"
- "Description"
- "Color"
- Click "View slide" to preview the Timeline slide.
Notes & limitations
- "Address" is mandatory for Map chart slides.
- The number format selector is hidden when "Map" is selected.
- Map chart slides use Google Maps.
- Map chart slides support full and half screen layouts.
- In the Client Portal, maps support scrolling zoom, Full-Screen Mode, Zoom In / Zoom Out, and Street View.
- Timeline chart slides support 1 to 10 Timeline Items.
- Timeline chart slides are vertical on mobile.
- Timeline chart slides are also vertical in split screen.
- In preview mode, the Timeline appears fully rendered without animation.
- The Timeline "Value" font is fixed and does not follow the global title font setting.
Troubleshooting
Q: Why don’t I see the number format selector?
A: The number format selector is hidden when the chart type is "Map".
Q: Why can’t I complete a Map chart slide?
A: Make sure the required "Address" field is filled in.
Q: Why is my Timeline displayed vertically?
A: Timeline slides are vertical on mobile and in split screen. On desktop full screen, Timelines with more than 5 items are also vertical.
Q: Why doesn’t the Timeline animate in preview?
A: In preview mode, the Timeline appears fully rendered without animation.
