- The current slide type is shown but cannot be selected.
- "Switch" stays disabled until you choose a valid slide type.
- If AI enrichment is off, the content is reformatted only.
- Switching slide type is reversible with "Undo".
- Media is not deleted automatically during the switch.
Troubleshooting
Why don’t I see "Change slide type"?
It appears only when:
- the slide supports slide type switching
- the slide passes validation
- the Presentation section is not locked
Why is "Switch" disabled?
You must select a valid slide type before you can continue.
What happens if AI cannot format the slide?
You see this message:
- "AI couldn’t format this slide as {type}. Switch without enrichment"
Will I lose my original slide?
No. You can click "Undo" to restore the previous slide type, content, layout, styling, and media positioning.
