Short summary

Import slides into a Presentation from another Proposaly document or from Google Slides. You can preview slides, choose which ones to import, and apply optional enhancements before importing.

When to use this feature

Use this feature when you want to:

reuse slides from an existing Document
bring Google Slides content into a Presentation
keep slide selection manual before import
optionally import slide images or enrich text with AI

Step-by-step instructions

In the Business Portal, open a Presentation in a Workspace.

Open the slide picker:

If the Presentation is empty, click "+ Add slide" and select "Import slides...".
If the Presentation already has slides, click "+ Add slide", then select "Import slides..." at the top of the slide type picker.

Choose your import source:

Select "Import from another Proposaly document" to import from an existing Document.
Select "Import from Google Slides" to import from a Google Slides link.

Complete the source details:

For "Import from another Proposaly document", choose a "Workspace" and a "Document". The "Workspace" field defaults to the current workspace.
For "Import from Google Slides", paste the Google Slides link in ‘Google Slides link’’ textbox

Continue to the slide preview.

Select the slides you want to import.

Use the slide checkboxes.
Use "Select all" to select all available slides.
Use "Clear" to remove your selection. "Clear" appears only after you select at least one slide.

Choose optional import settings:

"Import slide images"
"Enrich text with AI"

Click the import button. The button label updates to match your selection count, such as "Import 3 slides".

If you import from another Proposaly document, the dialog closes and you see "Presentation imported successfully!"
If you import from Google Slides, you see a dialog with ‘Importing’ title first, then the dialog closes and the success message appears.

Notes & limitations

You can import slides from another Proposaly document or from Google Slides.
Only selected slides are imported.
System slides are excluded when importing from another Proposaly document.
"Import slide images" is selected by default.
Imported images are not added to the Visual Library.
The import button is disabled until you select at least one slide.
"Clear" appears only when at least one slide is selected.

Troubleshooting

Why can’t I click the import button?

You must select at least one slide before the import button becomes available.

Why don’t I see the "Clear" option?

"Clear" appears only after you select at least one slide.

Why did my Google Slides import fail?

If the Google Slides link is invalid or access fails, the dialog shows an inline error and lets you retry without closing the dialog.

Why are some Proposaly slides missing from import?

System slides are not available for import from another Proposaly document.
