Import slides into a Presentation

You can import slides into a Presentation from another Proposaly Document or from Google Slides. You’ll be able to preview slides, choose exactly which ones to import, and apply optional enhancements before importing.

Open the Import Slides Flow

1. Open a Presentation in your Workspace.
2. Click + Add slide.
3. Choose Import slides....

If your Presentation is empty, + Add slide shows a menu with Add slide and Import slides....

If your Presentation already has slides, + Add slide opens the slide type picker, and Import slides... appears at the top.

Choose Your Import Source

1. In Import slides, choose one of these options:

•    Import from another Proposaly document
•    Import from Google Slides

2. If you choose Proposaly:

•   Select a Workspace
•   Select a Document

3. If you choose Google Slides:

•  Paste your Google Slides link

4. Click Insert.

The Workspace field defaults to your current Workspace.

Preview and Select Slides

1. Review the slide previews.
2. Select the slides you want to import using the checkboxes.
3. Use Select all to select every available slide.
4. Use Clear to remove your selection.

Clear only appears after you select at least one slide.

The import button updates based on how many slides you selected, for example Import 3 slides.

Choose Optional Import Settings

You may see these options before importing:

• Import slide images
• Enrich text with AI

Import slide images is selected by default. Imported images are not added to the Visual Library.

Finish the Import

1. Click the import button.
2. Wait for the import to finish.

If you import from another Proposaly Document, the dialog closes and you’ll see Presentation imported successfully!

If you import from Google Slides, you’ll first see an importing state in the dialog, then the dialog closes and the success message appears.

Common Questions

Why can’t I click the import button?

You need to select at least one slide before the import button becomes available.

Why don’t I see Clear?

Clear only appears after at least one slide is selected.

Why did my Google Slides import fail?

If the link is invalid or access fails, Proposaly shows an inline error and lets you try again without closing the dialog.

Why are some slides missing when importing from another Proposaly Document?

System slides are excluded from Proposaly-to-Proposaly imports.
