Short summary
When you create a new Company, Proposaly opens Fast onboarding automatically. You must confirm your plan, add payment details, and complete the required setup before you can continue.
When to use this feature
Use this flow when you:
- choose a plan during sign-up
- join through a company invitation and create your account
- need to resume required setup for a new Company
Step-by-step instructions
- Accept your company invitation and create your account.
- Enter your work email, mobile phone, full name, company name, company website, and password, or use SSO.
- Email verification is soft-verified and does not block sign-up.
- Your Company and Owner account are created automatically.
- Finish account creation.
- After sign-up, you are signed in automatically and taken to your default welcome Workspace.
- Fast onboarding opens right away and cannot be skipped.
- In the onboarding dialog, review your selected plan in the "Confirm plan" step.
- Confirm the current plan, limits, and price.
- If needed, use the change plan option to select a different plan.
- Select "Confirm plan".
- If you selected Enterprise, you see this note: "Note: You’re on our basic Enterprise setup for now. Our team will contact you soon to customize it for your business."
- Review your business details.
- Update the business information shown in the form.
- If your billing details match, keep "Billing information is the same as business information" selected.
- If needed, enter different billing details at this stage.
- Choose a payment provider and continue.

- Add your payment method.
- Enter your card details with Stripe Elements.
- Proposaly places a card on file using a $0 auth or micro-auth.
- You cannot continue until payment succeeds.
- Complete the remaining Fast onboarding steps.
- Finish "First documents".
- When all required steps are complete, onboarding ends and you can use the Business Portal normally.
Notes & limitations
- Fast onboarding is mandatory for new plan activation.
- The onboarding dialog cannot be closed or skipped until all required steps are complete.
- Progress saves automatically at each step.
- If you leave or log out, you return to the exact onboarding step you last reached.
- In Settings, the onboarding button shows progress as "Fast onboarding X/6".
- After Fast onboarding is complete, the button changes to "Advanced onboarding".
- If payment fails, you cannot proceed until payment succeeds.
Troubleshooting
Why am I seeing onboarding every time I log in?
Your Fast onboarding is not finished yet. Proposaly returns you to the same required step until you complete the full flow.
I cannot move past payment
Your payment method was not completed successfully. Retry the payment step. You cannot continue until payment succeeds.
I am stuck after entering my company website
The company website must be validated during account creation. If the website is not accepted, correct it and try again.
I joined through an invitation. Why do I still need onboarding?
Onboarding starts right after you accept the invitation and create your account. It is required and cannot be skipped.
