Important Note Before You Begin
Before you can split payment amounts between recipients, you must define the total job price in the Price Quote section. This enables the “+ Payment” button in the Payment Terms tab.
Step-by-Step: How to Split Payment Amounts Between Recipients
Step 1: Open the Proposal
Navigate to the proposal where you want to manage shared payments.
Step 2: Go to Price Quote
Add items and define the total price for the job. This step is required before proceeding to payment setup.
The default view now shows a Full Breakdown including:
- Item Type
- Quantity
- Title (bold)
- Description (beneath the title)
- For Add-ons, you'll see who added the item and when
- Tax and Discount Notes (if configured in the backend) now appear under item details

Step 3: Go to Payment Terms
Click on the Payment Terms tab in the right-side proposal menu.
Step 4: Select a Payment Option
Choose the structure of your payment plan:
- Single Payment
- Milestone Payments

A pop-up window will open, allowing you to configure a new payment.
Step 6: Fill Out the Payment Information
- Enter a Payment Description (e.g., “Client A Deposit”).

- Define the Amount Due.
- Select the Status (e.g., Pending, Paid).
Step 7: Assign the Payment to a Recipient
- Use the recipient dropdown to select who will be responsible for this specific payment.
Step 8: Repeat for Each Recipient
- Click + Payment again to create additional rows.
- Assign each to a different recipient, with custom amounts and statuses as needed.

- Once all payments are configured and assigned, click Save to confirm your setup.
