Complete onboarding before using the Business Portal

Short summary

Proposaly requires onboarding to be completed before you can navigate the Business Portal or create new items. If onboarding is not complete, the onboarding dialog reopens automatically.

When to use this feature

Use this article if:

• The onboarding dialog appears again after you try to navigate.
• You are redirected back to your default Workspace.
• You cannot create a Document, Workspace, Team Member, or AI Agent before finishing onboarding.

Step-by-step instructions

1. In the Business Portal, open your default Workspace.

1. If onboarding is not complete, the onboarding dialog opens automatically.

1. On "Confirm your plan", review the plan details.

1. Select "Confirm" to continue, or select "Change plan" to choose a different plan.

1. Complete the remaining onboarding steps shown in the dialog: "Business Details", "Payment", "First documents", and "All set!".

1. After onboarding is complete, you can use navigation and creation actions in the Business Portal.

Notes & limitations

• You cannot bypass onboarding by navigating to another page.
• You cannot create a Document, Workspace, Team Member, or AI Agent until onboarding is complete.
• If you try to access restricted admin content without the required access, you are redirected to your default Workspace.
• Repeated attempts to bypass onboarding can log you out and block login until an admin reactivates the account.
• The onboarding enforcement counter resets after onboarding is completed.

Troubleshooting

Q: Why does the onboarding dialog keep reopening?

A: Your onboarding is not complete. Finish all onboarding steps before navigating or creating items.

Q: Why was I redirected to my default Workspace?

A: Proposaly redirects incomplete onboarding sessions back to the default Workspace and reopens onboarding.

Q: Why can’t I create a Document, Workspace, Team Member, or AI Agent?

A: Creation actions are blocked until onboarding is complete.

Q: Why can’t I log in?

A: Repeated attempts to bypass onboarding can block login. Contact an admin to reactivate the account.
