Use Agreement signature and consent status to track who can approve an Agreement, who has already approved it, and when the Agreement is fully executed.
When to use this feature
Use this feature when you need to:
- Let authorized Recipients or Team Members approve an Agreement.
- Use Signature or Consent approval.
- Track pending approvals.
- Confirm when an Agreement is fully executed.
Step-by-step instructions
- In the Business Portal, open the document

- Open the Agreement settings for approvals.
- Under "Recipient's authorized signatories", choose the approval method.
- Select "Approval by Consent (Without Signature)" if the Recipient should approve without adding a Signature.
- For an Agreement, optionally fill in:
- "Company name in the agreement"
- "Recipient name in the agreement"
- Share the Agreement with the Recipient.
- When a user has signature rights, they can use "Sign now" to approve the Agreement.
- Check the signature status next to each signature right to see who has approved and who is still pending.
- When all required Recipient and Company approvals are completed, the Agreement is marked as fully executed in the header.
Notes & limitations
- "Sign now" is shown only to users who have signature rights.
- If the Agreement Document is missing, "Sign now" is not shown.
- After at least one Signature is added, the Agreement Document cannot be replaced.
- If the Agreement is not fully executed, the stamp can still be replaced.
- If a Company or Recipient section already has at least one Signature, that section’s signature protocol selector and user/member selector are disabled.
- "Company name in the agreement" and "Recipient name in the agreement" are optional and apply to Agreement documents.
Troubleshooting
Q: I do not see "Sign now".
A: "Sign now" appears only if you have signature rights and the Agreement Document exists.
Q: I cannot change the signature protocol selector.
A: If the section already has at least one Signature, the selector is disabled.
Q: I cannot replace the Agreement Document.
A: After at least one Signature is added, the Agreement Document cannot be replaced.
Q: How do I know the Agreement is complete?
A: Once all required Recipient and Company approvals are completed, the Agreement is shown as fully executed in the header.
