Short summary
Use the Lead right side bar menu to manage access, activity, settings, labels, comments, copies, archive/delete status, and proposal creation from a Lead.
When to use this feature
Use this when you need to:
- Review Lead details.
- Assign or share the Lead with Team Members.
- Add a Team Comment.
- Create a proposal from a Lead.
- Archive, delete, restore, or copy a Lead.
Step-by-step instructions
- In the Business Portal, open the workspace
- Open the Lead by clicking ‘Add Lead’ button

- Use the right side bar menu to open the section you need:
- "People & access" to assign or share with Team Members.
- "Activity feed" to view Lead activity.
- "Settings" to update basic configuration.
- "Labels" to categorize or tag the Lead.
- "About" to view basic Lead information.
- To create a proposal, select "Create (proposal}" and continue in the create dialog.
- To add a comment, select "Add comment" and complete the comment dialog.
- To duplicate the Lead, select "Make a copy".
- To archive or delete an active Lead, select "Archive" or "Delete". The Lead sub-status is updated.
- To restore a non-active Lead, select "Restore lead".
Notes & limitations
- Active Leads show more control and action options than archived, deleted, or converted Leads.
- Archived, deleted, and converted Leads only show limited control options.
- "Settings", "Labels", "Create (proposal}", "Add comment", "Archive", and "Delete" are available only for active Leads.
- "Archive", "Delete", and "Restore lead" update the Lead sub-status. They do not move the Lead to another Stage.
Troubleshooting
Q: Why do I not see "Settings" or "Labels"?
A: These options are available only for active Leads.
Q: Why do I not see "Create (proposal}"?
A: This action is available only for active Leads.
Q: Can I still copy an archived, deleted, or converted Lead?
A: Yes. "Make a copy" is available for non-active Leads.
Q: What happens when I select "Archive" or "Delete"?
A: The Lead sub-status is updated, and the same system message as the corresponding button is shown.
