Short summary
Use a Payment workspace to create lightweight Payment requests and collect one-off payments without building a full Proposal.
When to use this feature
Use a Payment request when you need to:
- Send a fast payment link to a recipient.
- Collect a single payment.
- Offer optional Add-ons or Tip options.
- Track payment progress in a Payment workspace.
Step-by-step instructions
- In the Business Portal, go to Menu → Workspaces and open a Payment workspace.

- Click "Create payment".
- In "Recipient details", enter the recipient phone or email. At least one is required.
- Open "Advanced" if you need to add first name, last name, company, or address.
- In "Payment details", enter the payment details and amount.
- Open "Advanced" if you need to set Add-ons, Discount, Tax, Tip, Payment methods, Currency, or Background image.
- In "Agreement setting", add Custom agreement terms if needed.
- Click "Send". The Payment request is shared with the recipient.
- Track the Payment request in the workspace stages, such as "DRAFT", "SHARED", "OVERDUE", "FAILED", "RECEIVED", and "CANCELED".

Notes & limitations
- A Payment request is designed for fast payment collection, without Presentation slides.
- Phone or email is required before sharing.
- Add-ons are limited to 4 active Add-ons.
- Add-on name is limited to 75 characters.
- Add-on description is limited to 250 characters.
- The Add-ons Offer Group name is "Popular upgrades".
- If no Background image is selected, the recipient sees the default gradient.
- Right-click sharing is not available for Payment requests.
- "FAILED", "RECEIVED", "CANCELED", and "ARCHIVED" are locked stages.
- "ARCHIVED" is final and cannot be moved further.
Troubleshooting
Q: Why can’t I share the Payment request?
A: Complete the required payment details first. If you try to share from another tab before the request is valid, Proposaly shows: "Please complete the payment details before sharing."
Q: Why does the recipient see an error when confirming payment?
A: If terms and conditions are shown, the recipient must check "I accept the terms and conditions". If they do not, they see: "Please accept the terms and conditions to proceed."
Q: Why did my Payment request move to "RECEIVED"?
A: The Payment request moves to "RECEIVED" after a successful payment.
Q: Why did my Payment request move to "FAILED"?
A: The Payment request moves to "FAILED" after a failed payment.
